Germany – Nien Made®, the parent company of Norman® Window Fashions, won a 2019 Red Dot Award in Product Design for its Dial Remote Control utilized in Norman®’s PerfectTilt™ G4 shutter motorization. A renowned international panel of judges consisting of some of the world’s biggest names in design evaluated over 5,500 entries and recognized Nien Made®’s “outstanding” design and high design quality. Judges were also impressed by PerfectTilt™’s Motorization Module, awarding it honorable mention for a “particularly well-executed aspect of design work.”
The Dial Remote Control in PerfectTilt™ G4 features the industry’s first remote control that utilizes an adjustment dial to smoothly arrange window coverings (shutters). With the adjustment dial, simply rotate the outer ring and the louvers will tilt by the amount on the dial’s rotation. The Motorization Module includes an auto switch feature that seamlessly changes tilt methods between manual and remote modes. There also is an extra child and pet safety built-in sensor that stops louver rotation when needed.
