Judges were impressed by Norman®’s product designs and technologies at the 2019 Good Design Awards®. Five design awards were won, including four in the Floor and Wall Covering category for its PerfectTilt™ G4 Motorized Shutters, PerfectSheer™ Shades and DayNite™ Shutters. Additionally, Norman® received an award in the Graphic Design category for its Shutter Design Guide which has revolutionized the process for designing and selecting shutters.
Going into its 70th year, the Good Design Awards® is the oldest and most prestigious design competition in the world. The organization’s goal is to increase awareness about contemporary design and to honor both products and industry leaders in design and manufacturing that have chartered new directions for innovation and pushed the envelope for competitive products in the world marketplace.
Each year, the organization convenes a jury of the world’s leading designers, architects, journalists and critics to evaluate entries submitted by world renowned companies.
The entries are submitted by the appropriate product category and are judged based on their unique design characteristics, innovation and functionality. Awards are only given to those products that excel in each of these characteristics.
